Get Hosting UK strictly prohibits the use of our infrastructure for illegal activities, malware distribution, spam, phishing or copyright infringement. We actively cooperate with UK law enforcement and intellectual property owners to maintain a secure network.
1. How to Report Network Abuse
If you discover a website hosted on our network that is distributing malware, hosting phishing pages, sending spam or displaying illegal content, please report it immediately.
Email: abuse@gethostinguk.com
Please include:
- The exact URL or URLs of the offending content.
- Server IP addresses, if known.
- A brief description of the abuse, such as “phishing site imitating banking portal”.
- Any supporting logs, screenshots or message headers, where relevant.
CSAM reports: For reports involving Child Sexual Abuse Material, we immediately freeze the account and escalate to the appropriate authorities, including the National Crime Agency (NCA) and the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF), where applicable.
2. Copyright Infringement and Takedown Notices
If you believe a website hosted by Get Hosting UK is infringing your copyrighted work, you must submit a formal takedown notice. While we are a UK company operating under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988, we accept notices formatted according to the standard DMCA framework for international consistency.
To file a copyright complaint, email abuse@gethostinguk.com with the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorised representative.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, including original URLs where possible.
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing and where it is located on our network, including exact URLs.
- Your contact information, including name, address, telephone number and email address.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner.
- A statement that the information in the notification is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorised to act on behalf of the owner.
3. Our Response Process
Upon receiving a valid notice, we will investigate and, where necessary, disable access to the infringing or abusive material and notify our customer. Repeated copyright or abuse violations may result in permanent account termination.
4. Emergency Abuse
For urgent abuse involving immediate risk, include “URGENT ABUSE” in the subject line. For account support or billing issues, please use WHMCS support tickets instead of the abuse mailbox.
